Adrenaline
Indication: anaphylactic shock
Dose: IM 1 in 1000 0.5ml (500 micrograms) every 3-6 minutes
Indication: cardiac arrest
Dose: IV 1 in 10,000 10ml (1mg) every 3-6 minutes
Atropine
Indication: cardiac arrest
Dose: IV 0.5mg every 5 minutes
Morphine
Indication: pulmonary oedema
Dose: 5mg every 4 hours
Furosemide
Indication: pulmonary oedema
Dose: PO 40mg AM then 20-40mg daily
Oxygen
Indication: pulmonary oedema, acute severe asthma
Dose: high flow
Beta-2 Adrenoreceptor Agonists
Indication: acute severe asthma
Dose: 4mg 3-4 times daily
Ipratropium
Indication: acute severe asthma
Dose: 500 micrograms every 4-6 hours
Hydrocortisone
Indication: acute severe asthma
Dose: IV 100mg every 6 hours
Indication: anaphylactic shock
Dose: IV 200mg
Chlorphenamine
Indication: anaphylactic shock
Dose: IV 10mg over 1 minute, max 4 doses in 24 hours
Flumazenil
Indication: benzodiazepine intoxication
Dose: IV 200 micrograms over 15 seconds then 100 micrograms at 1 minute intervals
Dextrose
Indication: hypoglycaemia
Dose: 1-3 litres daily of 20-50% solution
Glucagon
Indication: hypoglycaemia
Dose: IM 1mg
IV Fluids
Indication: hypovolaemic shock
Naloxone
Indication: opioid intoxication
Dose: IV 400 micrograms
Diazepam
Indication: seizures
Dose: IV 10mg at 1ml/minute
