ind: adrenaline cardiac arrest
cardiac arrest
* given shockable rhythm
after shock 3 give 1mg IV/IO
* give after 2 mins if not shockable 1mg IV/IO
* repeat 1mg IV/IO in both circumstances every 3-5mins
ind: amiodarone cardiac arrest
after shock 3 300mg IV/IO and 150mg after shock 5
ind: amiodarone peri-arrest arhythmias
- tachy unstable after 3 failed shocks 300mg over 10-20mins
- tachy, stable, broad complex, regular 300mg over 10-60 mins (VT)
- tachy, stable, narrow, irregular if evidence of heart failure
ind: adenosine peri-arrest arrhythmias
tachy, stable, narrow or broad QRS and regular give 6mg, 12mg and 18mg if necessary if vagal manouvres not worked
ind: magnesium peri-arrest arrhytmias
tachy, stable, broad QRS and irregular torsades de points
2g in 10 mins (deux in dix)
ind: atropine in peri-arrest arrhytmias
brady and life threatening signs or signs of arhymthmias
300 micrograms IV up to 3mg
ind: glucagon peri-arrest asystole
beta blcoker or CCB induced brady
ind: isoprenaline peri-arrest asystole
3mg atropine with no effect and pacing required but navailable
