Acute asthma: SABA inhaler
2-10 puffs inhaled separately via spacer, repeated every 10-20 mins or as necessary
Acute asthma: SABA nebuliser
Child below 4- 2.5mg
Adult- 5mg
Acute asthma: prednisolone
Adult: 40-50mg
Child below 11- 1-2mg/kg max 40mg
Anaphylaxis: adult
500 micrograms
Anaphylaxis: child 12-17
500 micrograms, 300 if small or pre-pubertal
Anaphylaxis: child 6-11
Adrenaline 300 micrograms
Anaphylaxis: child 6 months to 5 years
Adrenaline 150 micrograms
Anaphylaxis: child up to 6 months
Adrenaline 100-150 micrograms
Suspected meningococcal disease: age above 10
1.2g benpen
Suspected meningococcal disease: age 1-9
600mg benpen
Suspected meningococcal disease: neonate to 11 months
300mg benpen
Suspected meningococcal disease: penicillin allergy
Cefotaxime 1g (50mg/kg in children)
Seizure: rectal diazepam
Child above 12 and adult: 10-20mg Elderly: 10mg Child 2-11: 5-10mg Child below 10- 5mg Neonate: 1.25-2.5mg
Seizure: buccal midazolam
Above 10 years old- 10mg Child 5-9- 7.5mg Child 1-4- 5mg Child 3months to 11months- 2.5mg Younger than 3 months: 300micrograms/kg
