A
  • Scan EIS for cause
  • Fuel pumps on
  • Ignitors on
  • sweep PCL if nothing reduce to idle
  • if fuel flow is constant but low move MOR forward and call it out
  • if Ng falls below 50% starter on and call out
  • call for checklist

Engine failure below 1000 ft

A
  • Sweep PCL if nothing call out PCL idle.
  • Call out “condition lever idle”. Place hand. They confirm. Then move Condition lever and call “cutoff”
  • below 130 knts “Flaps 40”. Hold vref.
  • nonessential override switch.
  • “gear down” Place gr down.
  • “Fuel shutoff” Place hand. “Fuel confirmed”. Then move and say “shut off”.
  • If time do checklist.
  • After touchdown, “master switch off”. Don’t touch. “Master switch confirmed”. Turn off call out “off”.

Engine failure above 1000 ft return to runway.

A

-best glide and bank towards runway.
“Flaps 15” Set flaps. No slower than donut.
- scan EIS for problem
- “Fuel pumps on”
- “ignitors on”
- sweep PCL then idle if no response.
- Move MOR forward until engine stabilizes. Call out “MOR forward”
- If Ng falls below 50% starter in and call out “starter on”.
- if no response to MOR call out “Condition lever off”. Place hand.
- PM “condition lever confirmed “
- then PF moves lever and “cutoff”
- when runway is made set nonessential switch to override and call out “nonessential overide”
-PF will place gr down.
