what is the first thing you should do if your car breaks down?
move your car off the pavement if possible and get everyone out of the car to a safe place

turn your wheel IN THE DIRECTION of the skid and then gently straighten the wheels

keep your tires in good shape, reduce speed, be alert to the road conditions
when does hydroplaning happen?
when the road is wet, your tires lose traction, and you can’t steer or brake
what should you do when hydroplaning?
ease your foot off the pedal and keep your speed reduced
what SHOULDN’T you do when hydroplaning?
SLAM THE BRAKES or jerk the wheel
what SHOULDN’T you do in the event of a brake failure and why?
DONT TURN THE CAR OFF, because it will cause your steering wheel to lock.
