What are the advantages of embryo screening?
A
> it stops suffering as it can prevent babies being born with genetic disorders
> many embryos are destroyed during IVF anyway
> there are laws to prevent it from going too far ( at the moment you cannot choose the gender of you baby)
> it saves the taxpayer’s money
> it allows the parents to prepare emotionally and economically

> there may come a time when everyone is screening for desirable qualities
> it is unethical as the rejected embryos are destroyed
> it implies that people with genetic disorders are undesirable- increasing prejudice
> it’s expensive
