What setting do we always keep the bleed in?

What does the Packs control?
pressurization and AC
Will the aircraft hold pressurization if in emergency transfer mode?
No because Pressurization and AC is the main DC bus
How does air get cooled for AC?
By 2 heat exchangers, the first uses outside air or cooling fan on the ground. The second uses water collected by a water separator and spayed onto the secondary exchanger to enhance cooling
Why does the RAM air have to be closed on takeoff?
The PACs will over heat
Why do we keep the recirc fans off on the cargo aircraft?
because they could interfere with the smoke detectors
Which bleeds have priority? engine or APU

What setting are the pack in during TO and Landing?
Low
When do the pacs get set to normal?
1500ft AGL
Why do never put the pacs on High?
The packs will over heat
What all is powered by P3 off the bleed?
Deice

Duct overheat, valves have to be manually closed
Pack fail and bleed overheat - auto close valves
