EMB-145 Powerplant Flashcards
EMB-145 (LR/MP) AE3007A Max. Takeoff Thrust?
7426 lbs. Thrust to ISA + 30° C
What items are on the accessory gearbox?
Fuel Pump & Metering Unit (FPMU), Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA), Oil Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Generators, and Pneumatic Starter.
When will the FADEC allow max. reverse?
Weight on wheels (WOW) from both main gear & nose gear, and tire speed above 25 knots.
At what N2% is the engine considered running?
56.4%
ERJ -145XR Engine Model Number?
AE3007A1E (XR)
EMB-145 (XR) AE3007A1E Max. Takeoff Thrust?
8110 lbs. Thrust to ISA + 19° C
How many fuel nozzles are on each engine?
16
Describe the lubrication system?
Self-contained, pressure regulated and recirculating dry sump system.
What is the difference between a “dry sump” and “wet sump” oil system?
A dry sump system stores the oil in a tank mounted on or near the engine, while a wet sump system stores the oil in the actual engine.
Where do the thrust potentiometers get electrical power?
From the FADEC’s.
What will happen if both FADEC’s fail?
The engine control system shuts off fuel flow and moves the CVG’s to the closed position. The engines will shut down.
What will happen if a reverser deploys in-flight?
The FADEC will reduce thrust to idle.
What N2 speed causes the FADEC to assume the engine has started?
56.4% and accelerating
What % N2 is ground idle?
64%
What % N2 is flight idle?
68%
