what was the middle passage?
the middle passage was when people were loaded onto slave ships and transported across the Atlantic on a brutal voyage. they were all crammed into a tiny space and didnt have much light or air.
what was the triangular trade?
the triangular trade was a three way trade between Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
which group of people were the first to bring Africans to the Americas?
spanish and Portugese were the first. they did this because they were a source to save labor.
what is racism? does it exist today? why or why not?
racism is the belief that one race is superior than another. its like saying that people are better thsn others because of what they look like or what they are like themselves.
what were slave codes?
slave codes were strict laws that restricted the rights and activities of slaves. they used these so people could gain more control over their slaves.

the puritans in massachusetts
