What is The Religious Settlement?

A

Act Of Supremacy- Elizabeth named herself Supreme Governor of the church to avoid conflict with Catholics who obviously wanted the Pope head of the church.

Act of Uniformity- Elizabeth passed new laws, the Prayer book was to be translated into English, some Catholic decorations kept ‘the middle way’.
