What was the poor relief act?
JP’s had to provide the poor in their local area with wool and raw materials so they could make and sell items. This would prevent vagabondage and vagrants. If people refused they would be forced to move new “houses of correction”

targeted at vagrancy, outlined punishments for offenders.
attempted to tackle unemployment by creating a register of people who needed assistance in each local area. Local JP’s were responsible for finding work for them
