it also included those who fell in to poverty e.g if there were poor harvests and depression in the cloth trade

What was introuced in 1576?
Poor law 1576- it was created a 3rd category of poor called the deserving able bodied poor. this meant if the poor worked they would be given poor relief
What was the act of 1563?
allowed the old tradition of whipping able bodied beggars.
What was the act of 1572?
The act for the punishment of vagabonds and the relief of poor people.
it meant all vagabonds over the age of 14 were to be whipped and burned through the right ear until an honest person had taken them into a domestic service. It was the harshest rule. If you were caught a second time then arrested and more times meant you were executed
it also included that the child of a convicted vagabond were placed under domestic service
