Q

there are different systems of talent identification. give some examples:

A

TESTING FOR TALENT- sports organisations have to identify the essential characteristics required for success in their sport. They need to establish norm values against which athletes can be compared. (identification screening)

SYSTEMATIC TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAMMES- waiting for an athlete to shine in competition is not considered too late in identifying and developing talent to its full potential. some countries have developed scientific methods to identify talented indiv’s, and help them find a sport most suited. (popular in eastern countries and China)
