Enuresis
A
- Peeing/bed-wetting
- 5 years or older
- 2x a week for 3+ months or distress/impairment
- Can be involuntary or intentional
- Can’t be attributable to a medical condition
- Nocturnal or diurnal
- Primary (has never been able to stay dry) versus secondary
- More common in males
- High remission rates
- Associated with some behavior problems, developmental delays, anxiety, etc.
- Risk 10 x higher if parental history

Encopresis
A
- 4 years or older
- Repeated passage of feces in inappropriate places
- 1+ per month for 3+ months
- Can be involuntary or intentional
- Can be due to prolonged constipation, which leads to impacting
- More common in boys
- Have to rule out medical conditions
- Emotional and learning theories on this
