An element of communication who chooses their purpose, crafts the message accordingly and decides how to deliver it.
Speaker or Encoder
An element of communication and the center of the process. The why, what, or how of communication.
Message
An element of communication, the one who makes sense of what is said and reacts to it.
Listener or encoder
An element of communication, the means or ways by which the message is sent.
Channel
An element of communication, It is the reaction of the listener decoding the message (non-verbal)
Response
An element of communication, It is the reply by the receiver. It marks the completion of the communication process. (Verbal, written, etc)
Feedback
An element of communication, it is the hindrance in the process of communication. Note it’s types.
Noise
Physical noise - sounds
Psychological noise - mind thoughts
Physiological noise - body hindrances (aches, pee, hunger, etc)
