An element is a pure substance that is made from a single type of atom.
What is a Molecule?
A molecule is a group of atoms joined together.
What is a Compound?
A compound is a substance formed when two or more different elements
are chemically bonded together.
Is Sodium chloride a compound or an element?
A compound - It has two elements combined.
how many elements does iron sulfate consist of?
iron + sulfur + oxygen

Where are Alkali metals found on the periodic table and what is their reactivity?
The far left column of the periodic table, not including Hydrogen. (Group 1) They are are among the most reactive metals.
Where are the Transition Metals found on the periodic table and what is their reactivity?
The middle of the periodic table from Scandium to Zinc and Downwards. They are much less reactive than the alkali.
Where are the Noble Gases found on the periodic table and what is their reactivity?
The far right column of the periodic table (Group 8 or 0). They are highly unreactive, therefore known as “noble”.
