Q

Atom structure

A
  • protons and neutrons are always found in middle if atom
  • protons have positive charge
  • neutrons have no charge
  • electrons have negative charge and are buzzin around outside of atom

Q

Detecting static

A

Touch- as we get close we can feel the charge. It can be quite dangerous

Electroscope- device used to detect presence of a static charge

Q

Current

A

Moving electrons

In order for electrons to move they must have a pathway and a desire to move

Measured in amperes or amps (A) is a measurement if actual

Q

Conductor

A
  • Materials that allows electrons to move freely

- there are different qualities of conductors, good, super, and bad. NO PERFECT CONDUCTORS.

-Devices we use to control current flow

19
Q

Static

A

Non moving electrical charge always formed by friction
