ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS Flashcards
Safety
Avoid electrical shock, and load centers are high voltage areas.
Voltage
Is the electricalforce , whicg causes current to flow in a circuit. Measured in volts.
Current
is the movement of electrical charge through the electronic circuit. Measured in Amperes.
Resistance
causes an opposition to the flow of electricity in a circuit. Controls the amount of voltage/amoerage in a circuit. Measure in ohms.
Hertz
an electrical unit of frequency equal to one cycle per second. Measured in Hertz.
Bus
a distribution point in an aircraft electrical system to which the battery and the generators are connected.
IDG
2 Engine Integrated Drive Generators, APU Generator
Sensing Relays
in addition to Transfer relays, other relays are employed in the AC power distribution system to connect and control power to the buses.
Circuit Breakers
Push pull type
Voltage Regulator and Supervisory Panel
4 in the main load center, provides control of the generator and connects it to the bus transfer system.
Battery
Two 24 nickel cadmium
