Electrical System Flashcards
The batter can be charged from:
Either generator, not external power
In flight the main battery is used to provide:
Back up DC power
Both generators supply power to all buses:
When the bus tie is in the normal position
After completing a start of the left engine, with idle Ng you release the start switch and notice that the L Gen Caution light illuminates. What does this mean?
This is a normal indication
The reverse current circuit breaker (RCCB) is located where?
In the main cabin roof (schematically between the main battery and the left DC bus)
With the bus tie open will the battery charge if the left generator fails?
Yes
If you have only your left generator available, will all AC & DC busses receive power?
Yes if the bus tie is in normal position
After completing a start of the left engine, with idle Ng you release the start switch and notice the L Gen caution light remains extinguished. What are the memory items?
Affected gen switch off, if the light doesn’t come on then external/battery switch off, shut down engine
The equalization circuit in the voltage regulator will drop what off line if it senses a greater than 20 amp difference in load sharing?
the low amp gen?
What is the only indication to the pilot during flight if the RCCB has tripped open?
The battery load will read zero
With the 310 series mod in place, the R 400 Cycle annunciator light illuminates. You pull the checklist, select the R Bus switch to OFF, and the light extinguishes. What does this indicate?
There is an AC bus fault and you have lost associated instruments and services.
