An ashless multi-purpose additive for use in blending extreme pressure industrial gear oils and greases. When blended in suitable base oils at a concentration of 3.5 wt%, it will meet the U.S. Steel Service Requirement 224. The additive imparts good oxidation inhibition. Lower concentrations will meet U.S. Steel Service Requirement 220 and AGMA Specifications
251.01 for Mild EP Lubricants for Industrial Gearing. At the lower concentrations, supplemental defoamant and corrosion inhibitor may be required.
