Repetitive strain injury in tennis players/people who perform resisted extension of the wrist
State the clinical features of tennis elbow
Painful, tender epicondyle, pain one resisted middle finger and wrist extension
How is tennis elbow managed?
Self limiting usually resolves with rest, physio and NSAIDs - steroids and brace may help

What is another name for golfers elbow?
Medical epicondylitis
What causes golfers elbow?
Consequence of repeated strain or degeneration of common flexor origin
How is golfers elbow managed?
Physio, rest, NSAIDs
Steroids are risky due to position of ulnar nerve
What type of arthritis is more common in the elbow?
Rheumatoid - erosions and instability
How can elbow arthritis be managed?
Radial Head excision
Total elbow replacement
