humeroulnar joint, humeroradial joint, superior radioulnar joint, Inferior radioulnar joint.
Radius and Ulna Articulations
Ulna does not rotate, radius moves around ulna and make an X
Forearm motions
supination, pronation
Carrying Angle of men /Women
End of humerus and forearm makes an angle at the side. Men 5, women 10-15 degree
Why is Scapula reference in the elbow?
Muscles that crosses the elbow has scapula attachments (Biceps, triceps)
Medial (Ulnar Collateral ligament
medial stability, medial epicon
Lateral (Radial Collateral Ligament
lateral stability, lateral epicon
Annular Ligament
encompasses radial head, hold it against ulna
Muscles of the Elbow
Brachialis, brachioradialis, biceps, supinator, triceps, anconeus, pronator teres, pronator quadratus
Rules for Muscles and Locations
musculocutaneous nerves (flexes arm) innovate all of the muscles on front part of arm, except brachioradialis. Back of arm is Radial nerves
