Noun
a person, place, thing, or idea.
Proper Noun
A specific person, place, thing, or idea
Verbs
Action, states that something exists or links the subject with the description.
Main Verb
The main action of the sentence.
Helping verb
Help the main verb ( am, is, are was, were, be, been, has, have, can, had, do, does, did). It can be more than one helping verb in a sentence.
Linking verb
Verbs that link the subject with the description. (adjective)
Adjective
Describes (modifies) a noun or Proper noun. Fire drill
Proper adjective
Example: Haddonfield Middle Schools drill
Subject
Who or what the subject is about.
Predicate
What is being said about the subject.
What is the noun usually?
The subject of the sentence
What must a proper noun always be?
Capitalized and there could be more than one in a sentence.
