A

Animals can only be killed after stunning. The obligation of stunning does not apply to invertebrate animals, to poultry and rabbits slaughtered for home consumption, and in cases where killing of the animal is necessary due to an emergency situation.  However, in these cases it must be ensured that the killing of the animal is done with skill, rapidly, and with the least suffering.
