11,000ft - 15400ft
- The BAROSTAT CONTROLLED G SWITCH prevents the operation of the BTRU until g-load is less than 2.33g
Below 11,000ft
- The BAROSTAT CONTROLLED G SWITCH prevents the operation of the BTRU until g-load is than 5.43g
ADU modes?
Auto:
When the SEAR is removed, the firing pin is released. The firing pin fires a four-second time-delay cartridge. After the four seconds, the cartridge fires, gas pressure retracts a piston that disconnects the straps attaching the PSP to the lower harness. The PSP falls and hangs on the end of the lowering line
Manual:
A mechanism prevents the operation of the firing pin and the auto release of the PSP from the harness. When separated from the seat and in parachute descent, the pilot can pull the kit deployment handle to manually release the PSP from the harness.
