Colour: CYAN
FCOM 2 15.10.2
What is the function of the EIU selector in the AUTO position?
Selects an operable EIU to provide data to EFIS and EICAS
It selects left, then Center, then right
FCOM 2 15.10.3
If you had previously exceeded a parameter such as an EGT limit for an engine, what would be displayed when pushing the RCL switch?
It redisplays the red box for parameters previously exceeded
FCOM 2 15.10.4
What alert displays are shown or displayed on the PFD?
PULL UP (Red) WINDSHEAR (Red)
FCOM 2 15.20.7
When you receive a TCAS RA, where do you position the Center of the airplane symbol on the PFD?
The Center of the airplane symbol must be outside the red outlined RA pitch regions to avoid traffic.
FCOM 2 15.10.13
How many events can the EICAS event record switch record?
Up to 5 events
FCOM 2 15.10.22
Which type of EICAS messages are listed in the DDG and provide a cross reference to the MEL for dispatch capability?
All STATUS messages are listed in the DDG as a cross reference to the MEL for dispatch capability.
FCOM 2 15.20.2
Which engines, when advanced, will display the EICAS alert message CONFIG, if the airplane is not configured for takeoff?
2 & 3
The CONFIG message remains displayed until the airplane is configured for a normal takeoff or until engine 2 and 3 thrust is decreased below takeoff range and airspeed is less than V1.
FCOM 2 15.20.11
What configuration condition will cause the CONFIG message to display?
Flaps not in a takeoff position
Body gear not centered
Parking brake set
SPEEDBRAKE lever not in DN detent
Stabiliser trim not in takeoff range
FCOM 2 15.20.11
What conditions will cause the CONFIG GEAR EICAS warning message?
In flight
Any landing gear is not down and locked; and
Any thrust lever is closed and radio altitude is less than 800ft, or
Flaps in a landing position (25 or more).
FCOM 2 15.20.11
When does the c-chord sound prior to reaching the selected altitude?
900ft
At 900 ft prior to reaching the selected altitude a c chord sounds and a highlighted white. Box is displayed around the selected altitude and the current Altitude on the PFD. The highlights are no longer displayed within 300 ft of the selected altitude.
FCOM 2 15.20.13
How many feet off the selected altitude will cause the EICAS alert message ALTITUDE ALERT?
300ft
FCOM 2 15.20.13
Name some Ground Proximity Warning System features provided
Look ahead terrain alerts
Bank angle voice alerts
Immediate alerts for potentially hazardous flight conditions involving impact with obstacles and the ground
Altitude voice annunciations during approach
FCOM 2 15.20.21
TERRAIN TERRAIN, PULL UP voice annunciation sounds when how many seconds from projected impact with terrain? How about CAUTION TERRAIN?
20 to 30 seconds from projected impact with terrain or an obstacle.
FCOM 2 15.20.24
When are master CAUTION lights and beeper inhibited during takeoff?
From 80kts until 400ft radio altitude or 20 seconds after rotation whichever happens first;
Or in the case of a RTO, when airspeed is less than 75kts
FCOM 2 15.20.37
New predictive wind shear warnings are inhibited at what airspeed during takeoff?
80kts until reaching 400ft radio altitude
