Water for crops & rich silt to fertilize; Nile floods predictable; no seasons; Egypt was almost entirely isolated before 1200 BC; desert, Mediterranean & Red Sea. Pharaoh put fort on either side of the Nile for protection

Ammit eats your heart if its heavier than Ma’at, and you go to hell to become a demon

Pharaohs would marry their sisters to preserve the blood lines.
