Checking if an egg is fresh
You can tell if an egg is fresh by placing it in water if the egg floats its stale and if the egg sinks it’s fresh
Farming methods
0= organic-layed by a chicken that does not consume harsh chemicals
1= free range-chickens go outside eat outside (etc) sleep in a barn
2= barn-chickens don’t go outside,can be packed
3=caged-chickens are tightly packed together,don’t go outside,can be fed fertiliser
Who should eat eggs?
Eggs are consumed by many people but Wouk be especially good for people such as
Elderly and young kids because they are a soft food which means it’s easy to eat and digest
Eggs are good for people who go to the gym or do anything athletic because they contain protein to repair their muscles
Are eggs easy to buy in the shops
Eggs are very easy to buy in Ireland because of irelands large farming culture
Effects of heat on eggs
Egg white changes from clear to white
Protein coagulates (solidifies)
Some loss of vitamin b and water
If overcooked curdle and become less digestible
