What are the uses of chorus?
A
- Chorus is best used to wash a sound out and make it more ambient.
- can be a great addition to supporting layers.
- Chorus is often used on acoustic guitar, or clean electric guitar, or to thicken pad’s and organs.
- It tends to take some detail away and push sounds further back in the soundstage, so it would generally be considered for background elements rather than foreground elements.

- Hi Hats. * Pads
- Guitars.
- Like chorus, flange tends to take away definition.
- Can be used in sound design for cool effects.

- Long delay, that stays in time with the
music. - BPM synced
- Mainly vocal and guitar use.
- Often employs many repeats (hi
feedback)

A
- Short
- Un-timed delay.
- Short single repeat delay 35 – 500ms.
- Can provide a huge range of effects
- Become popular in the 1950’s (Elvis slap
echo) - And is still used today extensively to
provide depth and size.
