What are sensors?
A
Sensors are places to measure physical variables.

How do computers read data from sensors?
A
The data in sensors are measured in analogue. A special device, known as the ADC (Analogue to Digital Converter), converts the data to digital which can be processed by computers.

How do sensors change physical conditions?
A
The data from the sensors is processed by the microprocessors in in the computer. Sensor reading are compared to the preset values which are inputted by the user. If the sensor readings are different (below or above) than the pre-set value, the signal is sent to the actuator which will change the physical conditions. This process is constantly repeated.
