Q

Recruitment – Knowledge and skills are important however these can be taught so I try to focus on the character and behaviours of any potential member of staff. This is done through tasks and conversations. I want them to fit in with the team and customers.

Q

Induction – staff need to know the basics of how to perform their role but importantly they also need to understand the values of our Trust team. We have our own departmental induction programme that I’ve developed over the past few years. there is also a keen focus on setting expectations for our service.
