Why is effective feedback important.
Effective feedback is incredibly important and promotes a sense of self efficiency along side developing metacognition skills which can aid them in further education.

This means when it was given, how often it was given and where it is given.

Feedback should be given so the child is clear on what exactly needs to be done to improve. It should be targeted and not vague. Either verbal or written.

Feedback should be specifically related to criteria that is being assessed o they understand how to achieve the desired outcomes.

Action orientated.
The feedback should be designed to show the specific goals for the future do they know how to improve.

Children should know when to revisit the feedback with the teacher in order to reevaluate their learning.

Interactive.
When giving feedback the teacher should ensure that the conversation is written down and is clear and is a two way practice.
