What is a childminder?
A person who looks after children in their own home for payment. People who have children often become child minders to look after their children while earning money.
What is a nursery?
An educational setting where children are looked after by a qualified EYP and taught according to the EYFS these can be private or public.
What a preschool?
These are often attached to a nursery or school children attend in large classroom settings and are cared by a qualified practitoners who follow the eyfs.
What is a community school?
A state funded school in which funded by the local authorities.
What is a voluntary controlled school?
State funded school in England and wales in which a foundation or trust contributes to building costs and has a some influence in running the school.
What is a voluntary aided school(church or faith).
A school in England and Wales that is in. A foundation of trust contributes and has a substantial influence on the school.
What is a foundation school?
A kind of maintained school meaning they are funded by the local government and fees are not charged for students.
What is a trust school?
A group of schools working in collaboration as one unit to improve and maintain high standards for education.
What is an academies?
Non maintained schools onward.
A place to study or train in a special field.
What is a free school?
Free schools are funded by the government but are not run by thr local authorities.
What is a private school?
An educational system that charges fees to attend instead of being funded by the government.
What is a sixth form school?
The 2 school years that you study Alevels.
What’s a general FE and tertiary college?
Further education college that offers both academic and vocational courses to teens and adults.
What’s a private,independent and voluntary provider?
Organisation in which their primary purpose is to create a socied impact rather than prophet.
What an employer?
A person or organisation that employs people.
What’s a sixth form college?
A college for pupils that are in their final years of education.
What’s a specialist college?
College that focuses on specialist areas of education eg. Performing arts or hartbury.
What’s an art,design and performing arts institution?
A institution that focuses only on that area of education.
What is a higher education institution?
Independent self governing bodies that at active in teaching and learning.
