How were the changes made?
The changes were made gradually so the peasants didn’t realise the reforms taking place.
What stayed Catholic?

- Transubstantiation (presence of god)
- Fast and Holy days remained
What slightly changed towards Protestantism?
- Worship of Saints discouraged (not banned)
- Purgatory (left unclear, but chantries)
What completely moved to Protestantism?
- Services in English
- Sacraments (marriage/baptism)
- Communion in both kinds
- clerical marriage allowed (clergy to marry)
- No prayers for dead
