Create the national curriculum, where all schools had to teach the same content.
What is the problem with the national curriculum?
It suits only academic students
What did the 1965 comprehensivisation act do?
Got rid of the 11+ exams to allow all students equality to education
What is the problem with comprehensives?
Large scale, so they lack individual attention
What did the schools admission code do?
Forbids discrimination in admitting pupils based on their socio-economic background and ability
What did pupil premium do?
Gave additional funding to students from low socio-economic backgrounds
What is the problem with pupil premium?
There are many other factors outside of education that prevent educational achievement
