The programs are designed to provide appropriate education and experience and meet the requirements of licensure or goals stated by the program.
When creating training descriptions, what must psychologists ensure?
Ensure that descriptions are accurate in terms of their content and goals.
The descriptions are basically informed consent for students.

When teaching, can psychologists modify their course syllabi?
Instructors may change or adapt course outlines when necessary, as long as students are still given the opportunity to fulfill course requirements.
Course outlines and syllabi should be accurate and not misleading.
Can professors require students to disclose their personal information during training?
Yes, as long as the educational program has made this requirement clear in its admission and program materials
How should psychologists assess trainees?
Psychologists must provide feedback to students and supervisees, and inform them of the process for that feedback at the outset of the relationship.
Evaluations should be made on “the basis of actual performance on relevant and established program requirements.”
There should be no surprises.
Can institutions require students to receive therapy during training?
If an educational program requires participation in therapy, students must have the option of obtaining treatment from practitioners who are not associated with the program and not evaluating a student’s work.
Can psychologists have sexual relationships with students?
Psychologists should not engage in sexual relationships with current students or supervisees or those over whom they have or will have evaluative authority.
What are the purposes of supervision?

Are supervisors liable for their supervisees?
The supervisor is vicariously liable for the work of the supervisees under their license
What are the supervision requirements for trainees?
For every 10 client hours, 1 hour of individual supervision or 2 hours of group supervision per week.

3000 hours
