What are the common triggers of atopic eczema?

- soap and water
- Fragrance
- Temperature
- Sweat
- Wet and messy play
- Clothing
- Pollen - emollient an hour before going outside
- house dust mites - wash clothing at 60
- Animals - avoid in bedroom, wash hands after petting
- Food
- Damp and mould
- swimming pools - emollient 30min before and when getting out, then shower then apply again

How do you apply emollients?
A
- Dots and blobs
- Few cms apart
- Smooth in a downwards direction
- Dont rub in

Bathing in eczema
A
- Once daily
- Less than 20 minutes
- Apply emollient before or use a bath additive
- Lukewarm/warm water
- Pat dry then reapply emollient
