ECS Flashcards
How hot and high of pressure can bleed air reach?
600* F and 220 psi
15 inMg is equal to what psi?
7.36 psi
What is a standard day?
14.7 psi or 29.92 in Hg at 59* F or 15* C
What are the three requirements for aircraft pressurization?
Sealed cabin, source of temperature controlled compressed air, and a method of controlling cabin pressure.
All cabin air in a pressurized aircraft comes from what?
Engine bleed air
What are the two ways to pressurize the aircraft cabin?
Manual and automatic control
What are the components of the pressurization controlling system?
Outflow valve, automatic pressure switch, cabin pressure controller, manual pressurization switch, cabin differential pressure indicator, and cabin altimeter
What are the three cabin pressurization safety components?
Safety valve, emergency depressurization switch, and emergency depressurization door
What are the 2 automatic functions of the safety valve?
Relief of over pressurization and relief of negative pressure.
What are the three things that happen when the emergency switch is actuated?
Outflow valve opens, safety valve opens, and AC shuts off.
