What’s an Ecosystem?
An area where the abiotic & biotic areas are joined together.
What’s a small-scale ecosystem?
A place like a pond or stream.
What’s a large scale ecosystem?
An area such as a rainforest.
What does biotic mean?
A living thing such as an animal and organism.
What does abiotic mean?
A non living environment e.g. The weather.
What’s a consumer?
This is a predictor and relies on the producer.
What’s a producer?
This is where things such as food are organically produced.
What’s a decomposer?
This is waste that decomposes and becomes the O-horizon .
What’s a food chain?
This is how food gets produced into another type of food.
What’s a food web?
A system of interlocking species with food chains.
What’s a nutrient cycle?
A nutrients cycle is where nutrient ends is being transported from one species to another.
What does climate mean?
In geography climate means the weather, a location, a feature of the weather or surroundings.
What’s the tropical rainforest?
The tropical rainforest is a large scale ecosystem of the world that is hot, known for its tall trees and a high rainfall.
What’s the desert?
The desert is a large scale ecosystem covered in sand, very little rain and mainly of cloudless sun.
What’s the savannah?
The large scale ecosystem between the desert and the rainforest.
