Q

whats an ecosystem?

A

an ecosystem is all the organisms loving in a certain area and all the non living conditions found there. - its a dynamic system - this mean its changing all the time.

Q

how does the biotic and abiotic factors have an impacton the ecosystem?

A

rock pools- biotic factors - sea weed can be a food source for consumers.
- abiotic factors- rock pools are heavily influenced by the tides. at the high tide they are completely submerged by the ocean so experience similar abiotic factors.

playing field : biotic factor- producers include grass and other plants such as daisies . the large amount of these plants attract large amount of organismsm that use these as a food source.
abiotic factors - rainfall and sunlight affect the growth of producers in the ecosystem.

17
Q

how is energy transferred in an ecosystem

A

energy is transferred through the living organisms of an ecosystem when organisms eat other organisms.

18
Q

how do plants store energy and where do plants get their energy from ?

A

plants store energy as biomass and they receive their energy from he sunlight. during phtosyntheis plants convert sunlight energy into a form that can be used by other organisms - plants are called the producers .56
