ECG_examples Flashcards
1
Q
What’s the diagnosis?
A
The ECG shows both right bundle branch block and left axis deviation indicating bifascicular block
Bifascicular block
combination of RBBB with left anterior or posterior hemiblock
e.g. RBBB with left axis deviation
2
Q
What is the difference between Mobitz I and Mobitz II?
A
Second-degree heart block
- type 1 (Mobitz I, Wenckebach): progressive prolongation of the PR interval until a dropped beat occurs
- type 2 (Mobitz II): PR interval is constant but the P wave is often not followed by a QRS complex
3
Q
What’s that?
What is the Mx?
A
First-degree heart block
- PR interval is prolonged (> 0.2 seconds)
- asymptomatic first-degree heart block is relatively common and does not need treatment
4
Q
What is that?
A
Third-degree (complete) heart block
- no association between the P waves and QRS complexes
