EC130 T2 Additional EPs and Limitations Flashcards
T2 Engine
Arriel 2D engine (instead of 2B1 in EC130 B4)
T2 Fuel Tank
142.7 gal, 142.0 useable
Crash resistant installed from factory
T2 Climate control
Improved climate control
T2 Anti-vibration
AVCS - Active Vibration Control System
- 5 accelerometers measure vibration
- 4 “force generators” cancel out vibration
- AVCS has own Nr sensor near stationary star
[AVCS Fail]
Turn OFF for 30 sec
Turn ON
CONTINUE FLIGHT
If still “fail”, - TURN OFF
[P2 OVHT]
Temp in heating ducts over 90 deg c
- Turn off ECS
After 1 minute - If light still on, close P2 manual valve
CONTINUE FLIGHT
[INST LIGHT]
Inst light circuit may be out
CONTINUE FLIGHT
Can use dome light if needed
T2 [PITOT]
Monitor airspeed indicator
CONTINUE FLIGHT
AV FAN (on G500)
G500 cooling fan inop
Reduce cabin temperature
G500 may fail
T2 FADEC
Called EECU - Electronic Engine Control Unit
Alternates channels every start
(May need 2 starts to diagnose a problem)
T2 Engine Oil System Monitoring
- 1 combined sensor for both engine pressure and temp (also used by EECU)
- Another oil pressure sensor before filter to sense blockage/pressure differential
Oil limit is 117 deg c instead of 115 because sensor is closer to engine
T2 TQ, N1, TOT Limitations
Max TOP only for below 40 KIAS
(30 min limit, 1 hour cumulative)
T2 P2 air bleed limitations
No restriction for using TOP
T2 Cruise power on FLI
7.5
T2 Crosswind Limitations
If OAT >35 deg c:
- Hover OGE/IGE with right crosswind 045-135 deg is limited to 5 min if wind over 5kt
