Eastman Analysis Flashcards
1
Q
general
* what is a cephalogram
* what is the anlysis of this called
* purpose of this
* what do SNA and SNB do
* what shows the relationship of the jaws to each other
A
- cephalogram = standardised radiograph
- eastman analysis = analysis of this
- view relationship between the jaws, the jaws and the cranial base, position of the teeth compared to the jaws, soft tissue profile
- relationship of jaws to the base of the skull
- FMPA and ANB
2
Q
meanings
A
- SNA - sella, nasion, maxillary base
- SNB - sella, nasion, mandibular base
- ANB - maxillary base, nasion, mandibular base
- MxP/MnP - maxilalry plane (anterior nasal spine to posterior nasal spine), mandibular plane (mention to gonion) - parallel with frankfort plane line from orbitalle to porion
- UI/MxP = angle of upper incisors to maxillary plane
- LI/MnP = angle of lower incisors to manidbular plane
- LAFH/TAFH = lower AFH divided by Total AFH
- SN/Mxp = cranial base to maxillary plane angle
