◼ Ablation of eye with adnexa attached.
◼ Adnexa prevents fixation of globe
◼ Remove adnexa with curved scissors
◼ Once adnexa is removed, inject globe with formalin at corneoscleral junction.
◼ Send to laboratory in container of formalin.

◼ Bouins fluid is an excellent fixative but difficult to obtain
◼ Davidson’s or modified Davidson’s fluid is the alternative.
