E200 Generator Flashcards
Where can you change/ control the setting for the E200
From any screen - Console (head-in menu), tower, patient cart
Bipolar Modes & Wattage
0, 5-95W
Low w/ Auto stop
Low
Standard
Macro
Bipolar mode - Low with Auto stop
same bipolar output as low and automatically stops delivering bipolar radio frequency based on predetermined threshold.
Designed to reduce the potential for excessive thermal effect
Bipolar Low mode
provides low intensity output for precise control over tissue
bipolar standard mode
provides moderate intensity output for traditional bipolar application
bipolar macro mode
Provides high intensity output for suitable for tissue division or rapid
Monopolar Cut modes
0, 5-120 W
Pure (default Mode) - clean precise tissue division with some hemostasis
Blend- blended waveform that provides tissue division with some hemostasis
Monopolar coag modes
0, 5-120 W
Precise
fulgurate
spray
low
Monopolar precise mode
balance of hemostasis and division capability - width of tissue effect is narrower than fulgurate
Fulgurate mode
Default mode - coag with some tissue division
Spary mode
coag with limited division - width of the tissue effect can be wider compared to fulgurate
Low mode
coag with limited tissue division - rate of tissue disiccation can be slow compared to fulgurate
Can two bipolar or two monopolar instruments be connected at the same time? If so, can setting be adjusted independently?
Yes, 2 instruments can be connected - energy settings can be adjusted independently
What do the colors mean when connecting the cords on the generator?
Solid blue: successful connection throughout the entire process
Blinking amber: recoverable error has occurred
Solid red: non-recoverable error has occurred and all port LED’s illuminate red
What can be connected to the E200 generator?
- Dv bipolar instruments including advanced instruments
- 3rd party footswitch activated instruments
- dv monopolar instruments
- 3rd party fingerswitch activated monopolar instruments
- 3rd party footswitch activated monopolar instruments
