What is the E Plex 2000 lock?
The E-Plex 2000 is an electronic pushbutton lock that provides exterior access by combination, while allowing free egress.
Max. number of pins for E2000?
Up to 100 access codes that can be programmed via the keypad or Microsoft Excel-based software and between 4-8 digits.
What type of batteries is used by this lock? How long does it last? And what happens if batteries die.
- 3 x AA batteries.
- Lasting up to 100,000 cycles or 2 to 3 years.
- Long before the batteries die it gives of a warning signal by a red flashing light & if it dies you can jump start it by holding a 9V battery against the contact points which provides temporary power to enter your code.

What is the audit trail of the E2000? History capacity?
1,000 events recorded in the memory: accessible through the software.
What are the 4 levels of authority?
- Master level performing all setup and programming functions.
- Manager level administers common programming functions.
- Access user granted entry with valid pin.
- Maintenance who have no access but info can be uploaded, downloaded to or from the lock.
What are the parameter features and describe each one for the E2000.
The 3-parameter features include: code length, anti-tamper lockout & relock timing.
1. Code length allows you to adjust between a 4 to 8 digit pin.
2. Anti-tamper lockout mechanism is adjustable from 3-9 invalid attempts with an adjustable period of 0 to 90 second before another pin can be tried.
3. Relock time allows you to adjust between 2 to 20 seconds of when it relocks after a correct pin.
What is the length of warranty?
3-years from date of installation. Which can be found on the excel software.
What Cylindrical backset options are available?
70mm & 60 mm in cylindrical latch.
What is the construction rating of the E Plex 2000?
Heavy duty commercial grade 1 lockset which is the highest score possible given by ANSI & BHMA in terms of it’s durability & strength.
What is the build material of E2000?
Made of solid cast exterior housing, solid cast levers. The tubular latch has been thoroughly tested for extensive use in indoor and outdoor applications.
