aka walking PNA - mycoplasma
tx: Azithromycin 10mg/kg x 1 day + 5mg/kg x 4 days
alternative: clarithromycin
What is the treatment for PNA in peds?
Textbook: Amoxicillin
What is the treatment for GERD?
1) positioning - keep infant upright (in car seat) for at least 1 hour after meals
2) thickening agent with rice cereal
3) meds: antacids, H2 blockers (ranitidine), PPI (lansoprazole/prevacid)
