Dysrhythmias Flashcards
this is less than 60 bpm and we use atropine/pacemaker to treat
sinus bradycardia
rate of 100 bpm but less than 150 bpm; we use CCB and digoxin
sinus tachycardia
S&S of decreased CO
low BP, HTN, fatigue, syncope, weakness, loss of LOC
this rhythm has a normal or prolonged PR interval but is not typically treated
premature atrial contractions
P-waves not distinguishable, R-R interval regular, atrial rate 150-250 bpm; adenosine, beta-blockers, CCB used to treat
supra ventricular tachycardia
R-R interval may be regular or irregular, atrial rate may be up to 350 bpm; Beta-blockers, CCB, cardioversion used to treat
atrial flutter
R-R interval irregular, atrial rate > 350 bpm; digitalis, amiodarone, beta-blockers, CCB, cardioversion used to treat
atrial fibrillation
