A
A coastal system is constantly trying to reach a balance point based on energy levels and sediment.

What happens in the winter in terms on constructive and destructive waves?
A
During winter, more storms create destructive waves which removing sediment and take them to the offshore zone.

What happens in the summer in terms on constructive and destructive waves?
A
During summer this sediment creates off-shore bars which reduce wave energy, creating constructive waves which in turn, bring sediment back on to the beach.
