Q

Dwecks theory from experiment

A

It was found that praising students ability led them to fixed mind set and were vulnerable to issues such as coping with setbacks. Praising effort led students to sticking at things (perseverence)

In another experiment it was found that low achiving students who learned to use the growth mindset did better than those in control group who did not have that learning

Q

Weakness

A

Studies on mindsets tend to ignore the effects on giving feedback that doesn’t have judgement in it. This is a weakness because it can affect the childs mindset progress leading to them not being to improve
